Hawkeye Bio’s graphene-biosensor lung cancer blood test LEAP becomes commercially available

Hawkeye Bio and HealthQuest Esoterics, a clinical reference laboratory in Irvine, California, have announced the commercial availability of LEAP (Lung Enzyme Activity Profile), a prescription blood test designed to support early lung cancer detection and complement low-dose CT screening.

Hawkeye Bio launches LEAP test image

LEAP uses Hawkeye’s graphene biosensor technology to measure patterns of protease enzyme activity associated with lung cancer. Testing is performed at HealthQuest’s CLIA-certified laboratory, with results available within seven days of sample receipt. The collaboration pairs Hawkeye’s biosensor and assay-development capabilities with HealthQuest’s laboratory validation, specimen-collection network and clinical testing operations, and the companies say it is a foundation for bringing additional diagnostic applications into clinical use as they are developed and validated.
