Zentek has been awarded a Government of Canada standing offer to supply HVAC filtration products, including its ZenGUARD™ Enhanced Air Filters, to federal facilities in the National Capital Region. The offer, secured through a competitive open-bidding process, runs from August 19, 2026 to August 18, 2027, with pre-arranged pricing and terms and a maximum value of approximately CAD $348,667 (around USD $253,000), with individual federal departments issuing call-ups against it as needed.
ZenGUARD filters use Zentek’s patented graphene technology and are manufactured in Canada as drop-in replacements for standard HVAC filters. The company reports approximately a fivefold improvement in aerosol filtration efficiency over untreated filters, without an increase in pressure drop or energy consumption. In a real-world pilot at McKinnon Park Secondary School, ZenGUARD filters reportedly delivered 22% lower fan energy use compared with standard MERV 13 pleated filters, alongside substantially longer projected service intervals. The technology has also been independently validated by the National Research Council of Canada.
