Skeleton Technologies and Acbel Polytech unveil BBU Solution for Data Centers

Skeleton Technologies and power supply solutions provider Acbel Polytech Inc. have jointly showcased an advanced AI Data Center Solution at the Open Compute Project (OCP) Global Summit 2025 in San Jose, California. The joint demonstration featured Skeleton’s GrapheneGPU BBU, powered by Niobium SuperBattery technology, integrated with Acbel’s power system to deliver enhanced backup power performance for modern data centers.

Li-ion batteries, used in data centers for backup power, do not have enough power for modern AI data centers, and are prone to fires and thermal runaway, creating safety risks. To solve this, Skeleton is launching a Niobium-based Battery Backup Unit, GrapheneGPU BBU.
