Indian venture seeks funding for an agriculture-to-graphene project in Tamil Nadu

Aromaticroot Queen Farmer Products LLP, a company based in Tamil Nadu, India, has announced that it is seeking investment to build what it describes as the world’s first vetiver-to-graphene production facility. The company reports that it has completed the project’s validation stage and is now at the fundraising phase.

Vetiver is a perennial grass cultivated widely in India, mainly for the aromatic oil extracted from its roots. The company’s stated concept is to use vetiver biomass as the carbon feedstock for graphene production, sourced through a network of more than 3,600 contracted farmers under what it describes as a traceable procurement model. It presents the project as a climate-tech venture linking agriculture to advanced materials manufacturing, citing ESG, rural livelihood, and circular-economy benefits alongside the materials themselves.
