Archer Materials recently announced that it has successfully completed a AU$7 million (US$4.9 million) capital raise to support and expand its newly signed quantum computing partnership with IonQ. This funding underpins Archer’s strategy to build sovereign quantum services in Australia and complements the technical and strategic aspects of the IonQ agreement.
The AU$7 million was raised via a two‑tranche share placement to institutional and professional investors at AU 0.27 per share, with strong demand from both new and existing shareholders. Archer has also launched a share purchase plan (SPP) targeting up to an additional AU$3 million from eligible shareholders at the same price, bringing the total potential quantum-focused funding package to AU$10 million.
