Graphene-enhanced concrete put to the test in Sundsvall

Along with several partners, 2D Fab has launched a trial that includes the casting of a large-scale concrete floor reinforced with the Company’s graphene-based additive 2Dx® CO-NXT, at SCA Wood’s sawmill in Tunadal, Sundsvall. The goal is to develop durable and frost-resistant industrial concrete with a significantly lower climate impact.

The project will run over the next two years to evaluate how nanotech-reinforced concrete performs in one of the toughest real-world environments imaginable. The project, named “Sustainable concrete floors”, is co-financed by Vinnova, Formas and Energimyndigheten, and is carried out together with SCA, Peab, and Swerock, with the support of Klimatarena Sundsvall.
